Folk singer Frans Duijts started his musical career behind the scenes, as a soundman at performances by various Dutch artists. While testing the microphones he performed songs by André Hazes. He apparently did this very well, because he was soon booked with his own show as André Hazes imitator.

Breakthrough Frans Duijts

In 2005 he released the song ‘Jij denkt maar dat je alles mag van mij’ from which Andre Hazes had already sung in 1986. In 2006 he released his debut album: 'I sing a song for you'. Later the title was changed to 'Thinking you can do anything'. The big breakthrough came in 2008, when Frans Duijts appeared in the popular television programDe Zomer Voorbij. Jan Smit invited him to perform. In 2011, a single by Frans Duijts was released called 'Tomorrow is only tomorrow'. With this song, written by the writing duo Nick Schilder and Roel van Velzen, he achieved his first number 1 hit.
A year later he launched his fourth album entitled 'Alles met jedelen', a contemporary and fresh album. This album reached gold status within a week.

The increasingly popular singer from Tiel has now released seven albums. But Frans reached another important highlight: for his fifth album 'Oud & Confidence', Frans Duijts received theprestigious Edison Pop in the Folk music category. In the same year, the music industry was amazed by Frans's musical excursion with the rap single in collaboration with DJ Mr. Polska.

In October 2016, the folk singer released his latest album 'Tijdloos' on the record label Dino Music.

Liked to be seen on television

In 2010 and 2015 Frans Duijts participated in the program The Best Singers in the Netherlands. He traveled to Ibiza to compete with other Dutch artists, such as René Froger, Jamai, Jeroen van der Boom, Frans Bauer, Thurs, Jan Keizer and Lange Frans. In 2015, Frans won the competition and could rightly call himself'the best singer in the Netherlands'.

In 2017, Frans Duijts was together with| ||211Django Wagner and Peter Beense can be seen and heard during their concert 'Real Friends' in AFAS Live. The gentlemen already had their own TV program '3ManSterk' on AVROTROS earlier this year. Their debut album was released on September 15. Together with Peter Beense and Django Wagner, he will sing a reprise of this concert in the Effenaar in 2019.

Top 40 hit

In 2021, Frans scored with the song 'French German', which he released Donnie together. Frans Duijts, for example, wrotethe first Top 40 ranking to his name. The record reached millions of streams and was number 1 in various charts for weeks.
